Modelon is a developer of model-based systems engineering solutions that are built on open standards. Modelon develops as well as supports Modelica and FMI open standards and communities. Briefly put, Modelon delivers model-based systems engineering (MBSE) services, specializing in multi-domain system simulations from concept to sales and furthering into maintenance of products in many different industries.
Dassault Systèmes has been a strategic partner of Modelon AB for model-based systems engineering solutions as related to collaborative product design and experience. Dassault Systèmes will continue to be a Modelica content partner. On the other hand Modelon will continue to be a distributor of Dassault Systèmes products such as Dymola, ContorlBuild, Simulia Isight etc.
Acquisition of Modelon GmbH will help Dassault Systèmes to further enhance its capabilities in modeling operations, simulation and test as related to mechatronics (a combination of mechanical,
electronics and software). This acquisition is important as the future of product development is based around solving the challenges posed by complex and smart products that incorporate multi-
