ZWSOFT Adds TraceParts’ Library to Its Arsenal

China’s ZWSOFT has announced that it’s teaming up with TraceParts to provide its users with an enormous library of certified industrial parts.

According to the company, users of ZWSOFT will now have easy access to more than 100 million standard components used regularly by CAD techs and engineers the world over.

With parts sourced from the catalogs of hundreds of manufacturers that service the tooling, machinery, aerospace and automotive industries, designers will have access to the most up-to-date parts. What’s more, design teams will have further assurance that the off-the-shelf components they’re using will mesh with their products when the rubber meets the road in manufacturing.

That’s important.

What’s more, ZWSOFT has packaged its new TraceParts addition into its menu ribbon, making a world of standardized parts only a few clicks away.

“This is a highly anticipated integration. The free and instant access to TraceParts’ extensive online catalogs will definitely bring our ZWSOFT users incredible productivity benefits,” said Felix Gao, director of ZWSOFT Overseas Business. “The application of standard components will save users lots of time and keep them focused on something creative and differential.”

To some, this announcement might seem trivial, but take it from someone who’s had to model a threaded bolt before. The ability to grab stock parts from a library is a welcome addition to any CAD package. Revolved cuts using helical curves are a headache waiting to happen.
