Faraday Future Opts for Dassault’s 3DEXPERIENCE Platforms

Batman might feel right at home in the FFZERO1.

All-electric automaker Faraday Future has selected Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE as its product development platform.

According to Faraday Future, the company has already incorporated Dassault’s “Target Zero Defect” vehicle development suite and the “Smart, Safe and Connected” solution into the development of its FFZERO1 concept car.

Like most industries today, the auto industry is changing rapidly. Today’s car buyers aren’t satisfied with a car that just can move them from point A to B comfortably and safely. Drivers today are beginning to demand that their cars be environmentally friendly, offer Internet connectivity and increased interactivity and even feature some autonomous capabilities. Because of these new demands, companies such as Faraday Future require more robust innovation platforms to control product development.

“We are taking a user-centric, technology-first approach to vehicle design, with the ultimate aim of connecting the automotive experience to the rest of our customers’ lives,” said Nick Sampson, senior vice-president of product research and development at Faraday Future. “Dassault Systèmes’ focus on customer experience and its unmatched technologies will enable us to meet our aggressive schedule to deliver the most advanced electric vehicles into the market. Dassault Systèmes’ industry solution experiences such as ‘Target Zero Defect’ and ‘Smart, Safe and Connected’ clinched the decision for Faraday Future.”

Faraday Future’s engineers claim that by leveraging the power of Dassault’s “Target Zero Defect” and “Smart, Safe and Connected” suites, the company was able to create “industry solution experiences” that could be used by its more than 400 employees working across the world. With those solutions in place, Faraday’s engineers were able to design, simulate and prep their all-electric supercar for production in short order.

Because of its success with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, Faraday’s team has decided to extend the reach of Dassault’s products into their business. With production of the FFZERO1 set to ramp up, Dassault’s products will play a critical role at the company’s production facilities, where it will be used to optimize the plant’s quality control, and provide real-time visibility into facilities operations.
