It offers X-axis travel of 750mm (29.5”) for work on a maximum 500mm (19.7”) part diameter.
The machine’s mass is 9,700kg (21,285lbs) and its B-axis trunnion is fully supported, leaving no overhanging mass. This allows the MU-4000V to accommodate a broad scope of spindles, ranging from 12,000 to 25,000 RPM.
It’s also automation-ready. Pallet changes take place at the back of the machine, allowing a pallet pool or other flexible manufacturing system to be easily integrated into it. The automatic tool changers can be configured with a 32 to 64 tool chain magazine system as well as 64 plus matrix cabinets.
Standard 5-Axis Auto Tuning technology automatically measures and compensates for up to 11 geometric errors.
