With the NHX 5000 2nd Generation, DMG MORI offers a horizontal machining center designed for the manufacture of complex and demanding components in serial production, e.g. in the automotive industry or machine and plant engineering.

Together with its new smaller sister machine—the NHX 4000 2nd Generation–the new NHX series now features a Direct Drive Table (DDM technology) with speeds of up to 100 rpm as option and direct distance measurement systems from MAGNESCALE in all axes in its standard versions. The construction of the machines has also been optimised for the use of shorter tools.

The distance from the spindle nose to the center of the pallet has been minimised to 2.8” for longer tool service life and higher process stability. The range of workpieces that can be handled by the 400-pallet NHX 4000 2nd Generation includes parts with diameters of up to ø24.8 in. and heights of 35.4 in.

The NHX 4000 2nd Generation includes components with an extremely high degree of accuracy and efficiency in its 22” x 22” x 26” (in X x Y x Z) work area. NHX 5000 2nd Generation includes 29” x 29” x 35” work area of the larger 500-pallet sister machine has space for workpieces with heights of up to 39” and widths of ø 31”.

The high precision demanded of the horizontal machining centers goes hand-in-hand with impressive ratings for speed and dynamics. The rapid traverse rate is 2,362.2 ipm in the standard version with acceleration rates of up to 1,2 g. Chip-to-chip times are 2.2 seconds.

In the process itself, the user has spindle speeds of 15,000 rpm with a torque of 152.7 ft. lbs. available in the standard version. The modular building blocks of the new NHX models also include a high-speed version that achieves a speed of up to 20,000 rpm.

The machines are equipped with CELOS, which is compatible with PPS and ERP systems, can be networked with CAD/CAM applications and is ready for CELOS APP expansions.

DMG MORI offers its customers the opportunity to adapt the NHX 4000 2nd Generation and NHX 5000 2nd Generation individually to meet their own specific needs. These options also include a variety of automation solutions. The horizontal machining centers, for example, can be equipped with a round pallet pool system (RPP) as well as the option of integrating a carrier pallet pool system (CPP) or a linear pallet pool system (LPP).

DoALL CNC Band Saws

DoALL is expanding its product line with the addition of nineteen new band saws. These new saws are designed for steel service centers, tool making, high-end metalworking, machine shops and fabrication shops.

The company is offering four new automatic dual column, enclosed Hercules CNC industrial metal-cutting band saws in its standard product line, the DC-300CNC, DC-400CNC, DC-510CNC and DC-750CNC.

These enclosed or “box” band saws from DoALL are primarily designed for vertical cuts and are well-suited for cutting solids, tubes and profile material up to 700mm (28”) in diameter. These saws can cut a wide range of full and profile materials including stainless and tool steel.

The DoALL Hercules high production, horizontal CNC machines are automatic, hydraulically controlled machines with multiple material feeds. Operators can now program each cut to optimize blade life through servo-controlled feed rates and blade torque monitoring.

DoALL is also offering four new dual-column, dual-swivel StructurALL industrial metalcutting band saws in its standard product line, the DCDS-600SA, DCDS-600NC, DCDS-750SA and DCDS-750NC.

These saws provide perpendicular- or miter-cutting of steel to customer-specified lengths. All models cut large capacities and can handle large steel profiles (I-beams, H-beams, angles, tubes or channels) up to 500mm (20") in diameter. Saws are available in semi-automatic or automatic with numeric control and bundling.

Also classified as twin or dual post, dual miter horizontal saws, these models have the ability to miter cut in both directions up to 60° left and right. This reduces material handling time and cost per cut.

Six new dual column, specialty tube and pipe industrial metal-cutting band saws are being added to DoALL’s standard product line, the TDC-600, TDC-1000 and TDC-1400 semiautomatic machines, and the TDC-400CNC, TDC-600CNC and TDC-1000CNC automatic CNC machines.

Specialty tube band saws from DoALL are primarily designed for vertical cuts and for cutting profiles for all types of tube and pipe up to 1400mm (55") in diameter.

Tube and pipe saws feature robust construction which enables the ability to cut materials including, but not limited to tool steel, stainless steel, copper, cast iron and carbon steel. The DoALL Olympia family can also be classified as horizontal power specialty tube cut-off saws.

Finally, DoALL is offering five new StructurALL dual swivel metal-cutting band saws to its standard product line, the DC-280M manual, DS-280SA and DS-500SA semi-automatic and the DS-280CNC and DS400CNC dual-swivel automatic CNC machines. This family of band saws is designed for cutting structural profiles.

These general purpose production saws offer cutting capacities up to 380mm (15") in diameter and are designed for small shops and maintenance facilities that have an occasional need to cut metal material.

Designed for filling machine cells with fresh coolant, Dosatron’s new Mobile Coolant Fill System eliminates need to fill buckets and carry them to machine sumps, potentially spilling coolant and creating slip hazard.

The system includes roto-molded 15- or 25-gallon coolant concentrate tank, onboard proportioner, garden hose water connection swivel, No-Flat tires, and EZ fill gas nozzle style valve with fill hose. With Mobile Coolant Fill System, users can add and adjust coolant concentrations as needed.

Enshu USA will introduce the WE30Ve Vertical Machining Center to the North American market at IMTS 2016. With its evenly distributed rigid bridge structure and 12,000 RPM BT30 spindle, the WE30Ve is designed for the high-speed, high-precision machining of small to medium sized parts.

The WE30Ve features a spindle drive motor with peak output of 17.5 horsepower and 61 ft. lbs. of torque for aggressive cutting. The vertical machining center also features 1,969 IPM rapid feedrates and 394 IPM cutting feedrates.

Even though it has a compact footprint of 1400mm x 2520mm (55.1” x 99.2”), the WE30Ve is built to accommodate heavy fixtures up to 350kg. The 650mm x 400mm (25.6” x 15.7”) table work area and 700mm x 400mm x 300mm (27.5” x 15.7” x 11.8”) XYZ travels are designed for larger fixtures and longer workpieces. A rotary pallet changer option is available for added productivity.
