ZWCAD 2017 Now Available as Free Beta Trial

Popular CAD tool ZWCAD is set to release its 2017 version soon and in the time before the release, creator ZWSoft is taking a “try before you buy” approach. The software, which is yet to be announced for an official release, is currently being offered as a thirty-day free trial. This will allow engineers to try the tools and test compatibility before committing to a purchase

ZWCAD is a “value priced” option offering more favorable pricing, along with no mandatory upgrades and a non-expiring license. Tools that are expensive add-ons with other vendors, such as 3D rendering, are included, further reducing the cost per seat.

The software includes several new features, including an ability to annotate with the voice-controlled SmartVoice and to trigger commands with a mouse gesture using SmartMouse. Advanced grip editing makes the tools easy to learn and use and significantly reduces the learning curve to migrate from other vendors.

ZWCAD 2017 will also offer significant enhancements over previous versions, including support for 64-bit operating systems, better integration and work flow between desktop and mobile devices using CAD Pockets and multi-platform support for improved compatibility and interoperability with other applications and systems.

Support for multiple CAD file formats makes it easy to move drawings and models between systems. ZWCAD 2017 supports opening and saving DWG, DXF, DWT and DGN file formats.  Drawings can be saved to multiple output document and image formats including PDF, JPEG and PNG.

An improved developer interface simplifies development and implementation of user applications. ZRX, ARX, and .NET are code-level compatible and new APIs reduce the time required to port applications to ZWCAD.

Users will now have the option to use ZWCAD on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms and CAD Pockets on mobile devices interchangeably. This will allow users to move drawings and models between devices, show and manipulate models in the field, and update and revise in real time at the job site.
