Motion Control Options from HEIDENHAIN

This year’s 50x60-foot IMTS-HEIDENHAIN booth will be host to many of the industry’s very latest motion control options including a brand new and long-awaited QUADRA-CHEK 3000 digital readout, HEIDENHAIN encoders (including RCN 6000 angle encoder and LC 100 linear scale), and TNC control/capabilities.

ETEL’s TMB+ torque motors, as well as the well-known ACU-RITE MILLPWRG2 CNC control with enhanced features will also be shown.

HEIDENHAIN’s new QUADRA-CHEK 3000 evaluation electronics box is designed for measuring 2-D geometrical features quickly and easily, utilizing technology that, up to this point, has only been available on PC systems.  The QUADRA-CHEK 3000 is right at home in the lab or on any shop-floor.

ETEL’s new TMB+ Torque Motors offers new size additions (62 sizes up from 50), higher force density and more winding options.  These motors can achieve peak torque values up to 44,000 Nm.

The ACU-RITE MILLPWRG2 control is an easy-to-operate CNC for vertical knee and bed mills.  It is available with an optional AMI (auxiliary machine interface) and spindle control console offering users the ability to use common interfaces as well as control its host machine tool’s spindle.

A presentation on advanced TNC control capabilities by HEIDENHAIN is also in development for delivery at the booth.  More information on this and other product information will be released at show time.

Mobile Maintenance Solution From Smartware Group

Smartware Group, Inc. has recently launched its first native mobile application for Bigfoot CMMS, the cloud-based asset and equipment management software used by maintenance teams worldwide.

The app offers a robust suite of capabilities for maintenance professionals on the go and is included with a Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise+ subscription, for both existing and future users.

Developed for iOS and Android devices, the Bigfoot mobile app provides maintenance professionals with easy access to core CMMS functionality using the same login credentials as the browser-based Bigfoot system.

Users can quickly navigate parts, work orders and assets through the app’s QR code or swipe gesture functionality. The app’s built-in camera integration also provides users with the ability to upload and associate images to assets, work orders and parts.

The mobile app also features a geo-tagging capability that allows users to visually map all of their assets, parts and work orders by location. The feature enables users to assess all necessary repairs, current equipment statuses, and preventive maintenance while updating in real time, regardless of whether they are onsite or en route to a particular area.

The app also provides offline editing access to work order data when outside of WiFi or cellular connection, allowing users to simply sync when back online.

Bigfoot CMMS Enterprise+ users can download the app from Google Play or the Apple App store using their existing login credentials.
