The only things that seems to grow faster than manufacturing are the acronyms around it: CAD, CAM, PLM, ERP, IIoT, the list goes on and on.

“You need to have an ability to get information from a device—typically machine tools or operators—that can be processed and presented in different ways—using dashboards, reports or alerts—depending on what’s happening,” said Edstrom.
