What’s Coming at Automate 2017

The face of automation is rapidly changing; fast developments are being made in industrial robots, smart manufacturing technologies and other innovations. Manufacturing and supply chain experts in North America can catch up on the latest tech at the “Automate” trade show.

This year’s event expects 20,000 visitors, who can explore the latest in manufacturing automation through over 60 sessions on topics including: machine vision, robotics, supply chain automation, motion control, automation strategy, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), safety, workforce development, machine learning, image processing and automation case studies.

Keynotes will be presented by:

  • Sustainability expert and author of Green to Gold, Andrew Winston, on Building Supply Chain Sustainability for Competitive Advantage: Lessons Learned from Leaders in Innovative Facility Design
  • Boston Consulting’s Markus Lorenz, on Industry 4.0 – How Intelligent Machines are Transforming Supply Chains
  • And Earvin “Magic” Johnson, of NBA fame and chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises on The Power of Magic: Know Your Customer and Where They Are Going

At the front of the exhibition hall, system integrators will give live demos of the latest applications of automation solutions for real-world challenges. Free-to-attend “Expert Huddles” across the exhibition hall will allow participants the chance to grill expert technologists in a more informal setting.

The Automate 2017 expo and conference will be presented by A3 (Association for Advancing Automation) at Chicago’s McCormick Place, April 3-6.

The expo is still accepting exhibitors, who can register at the A3 website. Attendees will also get access to ProMat 2017 (taking place at the same location).
