Software provider Bentley Systems has announced a number of new cloud-based services powered by Microsoft Azure. The services join Bentley’s ProjectWise CONNECT Edition of architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) project management tools, and aim to enable comprehensive project delivery.

The new Azure-powered ProjectWise cloud services include Project Performance Dashboards, for visualizing project progress; Share, for sharing general project information; Issues Resolution, for managing and resolving issues; Deliverables Management, for managing transmittals, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs); Field Data Management, for managing forms-based data collection; and Construction Management, for managing  contracts, cost, change and risk.

Additionally, Bentley has introduced some new services shared between ProjectWise CONNECT and Bentley’s asset performance software, AssetWise. These include iModelHub, a service for synchronizing and distributing changes in building information modeling (BIM) workflows; ContextShare, for sharing reality meshes; ConstructSim Completions, for validating system readiness; and Components Center, for aligning component data across BIM workflows.

Bentley has also introduced new “365 Services” to provide an integrated experience to users of both ProjectWise and Microsoft Office 365tools. The 365 Services include a connector for creating configurable workflows with Office 365 interfaces, a Microsoft Azure search tool, Microsoft Power BI integration, and more.

“With so many enterprise collaboration tools available, the challenge is to bring together the right ones in a cohesive and painless user experience that drives adoption and return on our IT investment,” said Bill Smith, CIO of architecture and engineering company Johnson, Mirmiran, and Thompson.“Bentley’s strategy to integrate ProjectWise with Office 365 addresses this challenge, making it possible to increase collaboration quality and business process standardization while enabling unified access to all data types related to the project.”
