Internet of Things (IoT) solution provider ThingLogix has announced the general availability of eight Foundry Packages, software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications for the IoT. Previously available in beta, Foundry Packages are modular solutions tailored for specific, market-driven IoT use cases.

Given the name, it’s no surprise that Foundry Packages are designed to interoperate with ThingLogix’s cloud-based IoT platform-as-a-service (PaaS), Foundry. One of the main selling points of Foundry is its tight integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infinitely scalable IoT solutions.

Although ThingLogix plans to expand the product line in the coming year, the following eight Foundry Packages are now available:

  • Foundry Package for Fluid Metering and Leak Detection
  • Foundry Package for Image Analysis
  • Foundry Package for Lambda Management
  • Foundry Package for Location-Based Field Asset Requests
  • Foundry Package for Machine Learning
  • Foundry Package for Mixed Reality
  • Foundry Package for Salesforce.com
  • Foundry Package for Voice Ordering

Each of these packages is a standalone SaaS product available on a subscription basis. Furthermore, two or more packages can be combined to expand IoT capability. Foundry Packages also integrate with backend Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and legacy systems, as well as third-party IoT services.

“The concept of Foundry Packages revolutionizes the IoT market landscape by creating a way to introduce game-changing functionality and differentiation rapidly to smart, connected solutions,” said ThingLogix CEO Carl Krupitzer. “Foundry Packages work seamlessly with our Foundry PaaS to optimize the serverless IT environment of AWS, tapping the powerful functionality that AWS offers, while making it easy to innovate, deploy, manage and evolve market-facing solutions over time. I am excited by what we can make happen for our customers who architect their IoT solutions with Foundry Packages.”
