The master’s degree in Management of Technology (MOT) from NYU Tandon’s School of Engineering is a degree program that prepares engineers to take on leadership roles across a wide range of growing technology industry sectors, including:

  • Financial and Professional services
  • Information Technology
  • Renewable Energy
  • Clean Technologies

The MOT program isn’t just a few tech courses added to an MBA, or some managerial classes included in an MSc.  Instead, the program offers a fully integrated technology and management curriculum designed to develop students into leaders in innovation, design thinking and creativity.

Benefits of NYU’s Online Master’s Degree Program

The online MS MOT at NYU Tandon is geared toward engineering and other technical professionals looking to moving into a career in high-tech leadership.  The online format means students can study at their own pace, whether to accommodate personal obligations or to avoid taking time off work.

Students can enroll part-time with up to 3-6 credits at a time, or full-time with nine credits each semester.  With three semesters per year (in Spring, Summer and Fall) and up to five years to complete the degree, students can tailor their schedule to their individual needs.

Each course will require approximately 5-10 hours per week, but the online format means you can complete these hours when it’s most convenient.  All course content is available through the NYUClasses online learning platform, including recordings of all lectures.  Live classes will be held over webinar or livestream, and students can interact with peers and professors in a variety of ways, including video chat and text-based chat both during the lecture and afterwards.

Online students at NYU have the added benefit of scholarship opportunities that offer tuition coverage through two partnership programs:

Society Co-Sponsor Scholarship Program

This program offers a 15 percent tuition benefit on each online course for members of professional associations and societies.

Corporate Partners Scholarship

Students who are employed by one of NYU’s corporate members are eligible for a 20 percent corporate tuition scholarship.
