The Nemetschek Group just announced that its software subsidiary Nevaris bought the German market leader for mobile construction site management.
"Our Nevaris brand is a technology leader in digital construction processes and offers one of the most widely used business management solutions for large construction companies in Central Europe," Patrik Heider, spokesman of the Executive Board of the Nemetschek Group, said in a company statement. "With the software, construction projects can be planned, conducted and completed in 5D, i.e., including the dimensions time and cost. By acquiring 123erfasst.de, Nevaris is further expanding its leading market position and becoming an indispensable part of the digital construction site."
Nevaris, a German company that develops and distributes construction and building management software, purchased 123erfasst.de GmbH, an app-based provider of project management and construction documentation. The 123erfasst app is designed to let people record data on their phones, which is then sent to the company's server, and it's meant specifically to be used in locations without cell phone reception.
Users can enter information about factors like the weather, onsite activity, and materials used, and the app saves the information with the GPS coordinates it's entered from and the construction phase it's entered during. When the user's cell phone has reception, the app automatically syncs with the company's server, so the user always has the most up-to-date information. Users can record any data offline when cell phone reception isn’t available, and it will be automatically transferred to their company's server as soon as their reception returns. Currently, it's the most-used app in the field.
Nevaris is already well-known for offering 4D (3D + time and project scheduling) and 5D (3D + time + project cost) construction management solutions, and it purchased 123erfasst in an effort to expand its solutions into the mobile realm. “The acquisition of 123erfasst.de is a milestone in the company's history and an important step towards a digital construction site," said Daniel Csillag, CEO of Nevaris, after the deal was signed on June 14."Our focus is on creating a first-class, end-to-end solution for our customers.
