Axiomtek has unveiled the eBOX800-511-FL, a fanless embedded system with IP67-rated housing and M12 connectors for mission-critical environments. This embedded system is powered by the onboard 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U and Celeron 3965U (Kaby Lake) and comes with one 204-pin DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM slot with system memory up to 16GB.

The eBOX800-511-FL is designed for an operating temperature from -30°C to 60°C, operating shock tolerance of up to 3G and 9-36V wide range DC input. Additionally, there are M12 lockable connectors and N-jack type waterproof antenna openings to meet the performance needs for outdoor applications such as facility condition monitoring.

igus Solar Bearing Material

igus has introduced a material for bearings used in solar industry applications that provides enhanced UV and moisture resistance along with low coefficients of friction. The iglide J UV is intended for solar devices with strict UV requirements.

Like all igus plain bearings, the iglide J UV bearings include solid lubricants that make the bearing lubrication-free, maintenance-free, and resistant to dust and dirt. The long-term mechanical properties of the iglide J UV have also been improved, making it an option for long-lasting solar systems.

KUNBUS IIoT Gateway

KUNBUS has released its RevPi Connect, an IIoT gateway designed for machine and plant engineering. The device has two Ethernet interfaces, a hardware watchdog and the possibility to connect various radio modules. The RevPi Connect, which is housed in a DIN rail housing, is also equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet sockets, two USB ports, a 4-pin RS485 interface, a Micro-HDMI and a Micro-USB socket.

Its two Ethernet interfaces support simultaneous integration in both automation and IT networks. This allows machine data from the shop floor, for example, to be transferred directly to the cloud or to a higher-level ERP system. Familiar protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA are available to users. Individual applications can be programmed via Node-RED, Phython or directly in C.

NanotecLinear Actuators

Nanotec has launched a line of linear actuators with short designs in sizes NEMA 11 (28mm) and NEMA 17 (42mm). With the LGA28 and LGA42 series, the overall length of the guide is 10mm longer than the working stroke, making them suitable for use in small installation spaces.

The linear actuators offer an integrated linear guide with a movable polygon profile. Feeding is possible without additional mechanical components. Both series can be ordered in various lengths, with different windings, and optionally with the encoder. In addition, the electrical connection is made using an integrated connector.

Rockwell Automation Updates Its DC Field Controller

Rockwell Automation has updated its PowerFlex DC field controller, allowing users to upgrade their DC motor application to a modern system without the need for complex external devices. The DC field controller provides three-phase, four-quadrant (reversing) DC motor or generator field control. It can be used on its own or with a PowerFlex DC digital drive.

In stand-alone mode, it provides power to a DC motor field with a fixed reference by using fixed I/O. The field controller can also control electromagnets and other non-motor loads. The field controller provides output ratings from 17Ato 575A and inputs of 200V and 500V.
