HP is entering Q4 with a bang. The company’s new line of workstations boasts of higher-performance PCs and superb graphics for creative professionals across a range of industries. HP is known for producing high-performance workstations that can ring up a hefty bill. Luckily, one of its new workstations is designed specifically for the budget market. The HP EliteDesk 705 Workstation Edition is currently the company’s most affordable professional certified workstation, and was designed for STEM students, educators, engineers and architects. The PC has the ability to run CAD applications, 3D modeling software and even VR.
Built for multitasking performance, the EliteDesk 705 promises lag-free performance while seamlessly working with multiple applications. Professional certified graphics cards allow designers to work on 3D designs in real time. Available graphics options range from integrated AMD Radeon R5 graphics at the entry level, up to NVIDIA Quadro P1000 and AMD Radeon Pro WX 3100 on the high end. HP can recommend the device that is best suited for an individual customer’s needs.
Processors also vary, from a 7th Gen AMD A10 APU on the low end, up to an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO2700X, which provides up to 8 cores and 16 threads of processing power for responsive performance on offline rendering and 3D modeling in CAD applications. The PC is also powered by Windows 10 Pro.
Storage space is flexible, with HP offering up to 2TB of 7200rpm SATA HDD or a mixture of PCIe NVMe SSD options ranging up to 1TB. Users can also expand their PC as it has 4 bays, 4 slots, 2 M.2 slots and plenty of configurable ports.
HP also offers "self-healing, hardware-enforced" security solutions, namely, the HP Sure Start Gen4, HP Sure Run and HP Sure Recover. Users can now also manage multiple devices with the HP Manageability Integration Kit.
The HP EliteDesk 705 Workstation Edition is priced starting at $749.
