Advantest Memory Burn-In Tester

Advantest has announced its B6700D memory burn-in tester. By measuring the functions of NAND flash and DRAM memory devices during burn-in, this tester provides increased throughput and a low cost of test.

The B6700D has a maximum of 256 amps per burn-in board. In addition, the tester has twice the driver pin resources as its predecessor, enabling it to reach higher testing frequencies.

The B6700D can also maintain or increase parallelism to keep throughput high as the number of stacked NAND die per package increases in the future. Furthermore, the B6700D’s oven can replicate operating conditions while controlling temperature to within one-tenth of a degree.

Bruker Combustion Analyzer

Bruker has launched its G4 ICARUS Series 2, a high-sensitivity combustion analyzer for carbon and sulfur concentration measurements in inorganic samples. The G4 ICARUS Series 2 is equipped with HighSense LED-powered detectors based on Non-Dispersive Ultraviolet (NDUV) absorption photometry for sulfur detection.

In contrast to traditional infrared (IR) absorption detectors, HighSense provides a 10X better signal-to-noise ratio and a linear dynamic range of five orders of magnitude with no spectral or thermal interference. The furnace zone of the G4 ICARUS Series 2 is shielded by ZoneProtect technology, delivering clean, efficient combustion with minimum maintenance and a low cost of operation.

Linde LienHwa Electronic Materials Production

Linde LienHwa has introduced its portfolio of electronic materials called SPECTRA EM, including devices such as the SPECTRA-N nitrogen generators, which help improve power-efficient nitrogen supply for semiconductor and display producers.

SPECTRA lithography gases have created reliable, precision blends of neon-halogen mixtures, which have enabled deep UV (DUV) lithographic patterning for high performance and reliable manufacturing.

LPKF Next Generation Plastic Welding

LPKF has unveiled its InlineWeld 6600 laser plastic welding system for joining plastic components in an automated production environment. The InlineWeld 6600 allows plastic components to be joined together quickly, safely and hermetically. The system, which includes a compact laser head and a separate control cabinet, is designed for three-shift operation with large production quantities.

Nordson Screen Packs

Nordson has released screen packs for BKG screen changers that effectively withstand the pressures of extrusion, providing filtration and optimum melt flow while providing a longer working life.

One key to the enhanced performance of the screen packs is a multilayered structure that prevents failures caused by the pressure differential (up to 200 bar) encountered during the filtration process. One such failure is “screen dimpling,” in which the mechanical stress forces screen layers into the holes of the breaker plate that supports the screen in the cavity. Such a failure distorts the screen, breaking the peripheral seal and causing contaminants to bypass the screen and become part of the end product.
