Analog Devices announced a range of systems within its Industry 4.0 roadmap aimed at helping industrial equipment OEMs accelerate their path to Industry 4.0. One such system is device-level security and time sensitive networking (TSN) switching capabilities.

These capabilities are integrated with a real-time Ethernet multi-protocol switch with TSN features, including time synchronization (802.1AS) preemption (802.1Qbu/br) to control industrial applications via OPC-UA.

Maxim released its Go-IO reference design, which packs 17 configurable IOs in a space one-half the size of a credit card, taps into the power of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and enables productivity-enhancing self-diagnostic capabilities in automated factory subsystems.

The Go-IO reference design has 12 ICs, 17 IOs supporting multiple digital IO configurations, a four-channel IO-Link master to provide a universal IO interface to both analog and digital sensors, and a 25Mbps isolated RS-485 communications channel that creates a reliable, multi-drop data network for uploading time-sensitive health and status information into a local data lake or the cloud.

Microchip unveiled an automotive infotainment networking solution that supports data types— including audio, video, control and Ethernet—over a single cable. Intelligent Network Interface Controller networking (INICnet) technology is a synchronous, scalable platform that simplifies building audio and infotainment systems, offering efficient implementation in vehicles that have Ethernet-oriented system architectures.

INICnet technology provides a standardized system that works with both Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) at 50 Mbps and coaxial cable at 150 Mbps. With low and deterministic latency, INICnet technology supports the deployment of complex audio and acoustics applications.

RS Components launched an extension of its PCB Part Library, which gives direct access to schematic symbols and footprints. The library now includes more than 10,000 new models from a range of suppliers, including C&K Switches, ON Semiconductor and ROHM Semiconductor.

“PCB Part Library helps engineers by removing the need to source and create models and footprints from scratch, enabling them to focus on their overall design,” said Mike Bray, vice president of DesignSpark. “RS recognized this need. We have worked closely with SamacSys to create the PCB Part Library solution. Our pioneering partnership has helped revolutionize the way that engineers access models for their designs.”
