H2W Brushless Linear Motor

H2W Technologies has developed a brushless linear motor, the BLSM-1F, which can generate 300 lbs at a 10 percent duty cycle and 100 lbs at a 100 percent duty cycle when used with a matching magnet track (BLST-FSX). The mass of the coil assembly is 19 lbs, providing a force to moving mass ratio of 15:8.

The 3-phase brushless linear motors, also known as AC linear servo motors, are direct drive motors that are suited for long stroke, closed loop servo linear motion applications.

Leuze Safety Laser Scanner

Leuze has introduced the RSL 400 safety laser scanner. Featuring detailed measurement value output for AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) navigation, this device is a scanner that combines safety technology and measurement value output into one device.

Due to its angular resolution of 0.1 degrees, the RSL 400 provides scanning of the environment across a measurement range of up to 50m. This is achieved through a narrow laser spot that maintains its perpendicular shape over the entire scanning angle.

Rotork has extended its CMA range of compact modulating actuators with sizes specifically designed for automation of larger linear control valves. The actuator is capable of a maximum 4,500 lbf seating thrust. The sizes increase the CMA range modulating thrust performance to 3,000 lbf with a 114.3 mm stroke length for the automation of larger valves with higher pressure ratings.

Schaefer Liquid Cooled Harmonic Filter

Schaefer has launched its PBAF 690-560 liquid cooled and high current active harmonic filter. This series is designed for oil platforms and 600VAC power systems/grids, as well as automation, wind turbine and various other industrial applications where eliminating harmonics is necessary.

The filter ensures a harmonic suppression independently of the number of loads and corrects the power factor. 140A AHF pluggable modules (4 per system) equals 560A per cabinet and each filter module has its own complete control system.

Siemens has released the Sipart PS100, a valve positioner that can be initialized at the touch of a button, automatically adjusting itself to the attached valve. The Sipart PS100 is fitted with a display that allows users to see the status of the device at a glance. With its four-button operation and Namur NE107 support, the device can be rapidly configured.

The Sipart PS100 is available in two enclosure variants: polycarbonate and aluminum. It uses contactless technology to detect the position of the valve. Equipped with a corrosion-resistant silencer, the device is suited to applications in the chemical and power sectors.
