EW – Testing Edition – AMETEK Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry, Hioki Clamp Meters & More

AMETEK Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry

AMETEK introduced its SPECTROGREEN inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) analyzer, debuting its Dual Side-On Interface (DSOI) technology. It achieves twice the sensitivity of conventional radial-plasma-view instruments at an improved price/performance ratio.

DSOI technology, a new approach to the issue of plasma view design, uses a vertical plasma torch, observed via a direct radial-view technology. Two optical interfaces capture emitted light from both sides of the plasma, using only a single extra reflection, for added sensitivity and the elimination of problems plaguing recent vertical-torch dual-view models.

Hioki launched its AC Clamp Meters(CM4141 and CM4142), which are rated for use with currents of up to 2000A. This pair of clamp AC current meters features an enhanced jaw shape designed to make the instruments easier to clamp around wires. The meters help boost work efficiency by resolving user issues stemming from the difficulty of applying conventional clamp meters to wires in an increasing number of settings.

Keysight Technologies released its BenchVue Lab Management and Control platform, a software tool designed to simplify the configuration, monitoring and tracking of lab instruments while optimizing student learning.

The BenchVue Lab software application allows educators to spend less time on the manual setup and tracking of lab instruments to focus on what matters—providing teaching experience. It does this by giving educators centralized control, data logging and automation to easily connect, configure and monitor all instruments within a lab.

PROMAX Analyzing the T2-MI Signal

PROMAX developed a means of analyzing the T2-Mi signal. T2-MI is a communication interface embedded into the second-generation digital terrestrial television signals (DVB-T2) received by the modulators that carry out the broadcasting itself. In fact, T2-MI stands for T2 Modulator Interface.

The T2-MI signal provides the broadcasting parameters and contents to the modulators. The RANGER Neo 3 and RANGER Neo 4 from PROMAX are able to receive and analyze the T2-MI signals coming from any source: ASI-TS, IPTV multicast and even from RF.
