The Nemetschek Group has just rebranded its building operations and management segment as "Spacewell Solutions."

Nemetschek is famous for its unusual structure: a network of semi-independent companies that work together to offer end-to-end BIM solutions. Now, the company has moved all of its operations and management services under one umbrella, which will provide interior design consultancy for workspace design, and include project management and build services. The company calls Spacewell "the new overarching brand for the building operations and management segment.”

According to Nemetschek's press release, the rebranding is part of its strategy to gain the same foothold in the operations market as it already has in the design and construction markets. "With the acquisition of Axxerion and the expansion of our offering, we felt the need to create a new, more encompassing segment brand,” said Koen Matthijs, CEO of Spacewell.

The new brand will absorb the recently acquired brand MCS Solutions and the product lines offered under it, including MCS' integrated workplace management system and its even more recently acquired brand Axxerion (a multiple-tenant SaaS provider). As of publication, the old MCS solutions webpage links directly to the “Spacewell Interiors” page. The brand will also absorb Nemetschek's award-winning iX-Haus real estate management software, its O-Prognose long-term maintenance software, and its smart building product lines.

“The name Spacewell evokes our mission to help companies create healthier, happier and more productive spaces,” said Matthijs. “By connecting to the Internet of Things and leveraging real-time data from sensors and user devices, building management is becoming much smarter. As a result, our clients can create better spaces, deliver smarter services, and improve occupant well-being."
