AST has released a line of heavy-duty spherical plain bearings. Spherical Plain Bearings serve in applications such as off-highway vehicles, agricultural & mining equipment and robotics.Standard features include fractured, sold or two-piece outer rings, two or three-piece metal-to-metal constructions, open or sealed versions and maintenance free lining. Available in sizes 0.5-12 inch, with custom sizes also available.

Gates Belts

Gates has launched its MICRO-V platform of belts for engine accessory drive systems. The belts feature a combination of recently developed material compounds and product designs which reduce belt weight by an average of 15 percent and result in approximately 35 percent lower bending stiffness.

These improvements provide tighter pulley configurations and reduced drive bending losses by up to 30 percent as compared to existing belt technologies. Lower losses result in reduced energy consumption, CO2 emissions and heat generation.

HepcoMotionTwin Taper Roller Bearings

HepcoMotion has unveiled its GV3 line of twin taper roller bearings. The GV3 line is suited for applications requiring higher load capacities, and it is physically the same size as the standard Ø 54 bearing, although offering a larger utility lifetime.

Twin taper roller bearings are greased for life internally, with nitrile seals providing a high degree of sealing against ingress of water or debris. They are only available in combination with SAA carriages but specials can be supplied to suit other carriage plates. In these cases there will be a slight increase in system height.

ROEQ Top Roller

ROEQ has developed the TR500 Top Roller that automates load and unload operations of the MiR500, the autonomous mobile robot from Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). The TR500 integrates in MiR’s own user interface (where all control functions are embedded). When the robot is called to deliver or pick up goods, the conveyor communicates with the pick-up and delivery stations and will automatically activate the loading or unloading upon arrival.

Thomson Industries High-load Ball Screws

Thomson Industries has introduced a family of high-load ball screws. The redesigned ball screws handle more than double the load capacity and provide 10 times the service life compared to standard ball screws at equivalent performance points. High-load ball screws are suited for motion control applications such as injection molding, pressing and large fabrication equipment.

The ball screws are available with up to 15m screw lengths and with single or double nuts. They come in standard sizes up to 160mm in diameter with up to 1,440kN of dynamic load capacity. Preloading options are available upon request, and the company will customize the ball screw to meet user-specific applications.
