ABB was founded in 1883 and is headquartered in Zurich Switzerland. The company manufactures electrification, automation, robotics and motion products for utilities, industrial, and transportation customers around the world.
Ericsson was founded in 1876 and is headquartered in Stockholm Sweden. It provides information and communication technology services through four main areas: Networks, Digital services, Managed Services, and Emerging businesses.
The two have already collaborated at the Ericsson manufacturing facility in Tallinn, Estonia. Ericsson deployed an intelligent manufacturing system with the aid of ABB who provided a flexible robotic cell solution to assemble 5G radios for Ericsson.

At the Hannover Messe 2019, ABB and Ericsson are displaying their latest technologies showcasing their contributions to the “factory of the future” with the latest flexible robotics, wireless technologies, 5G, Industrial IoT, and motion control technology.
