Astronics PECO Receiving Contract Extension with Boeing to Provide Interior and Structural Components

Astronics Corporation, an advanced technology provider for the aerospace and defense industries, announced that its subsidiary Astronics PECO was awarded a contract extension to produce interior and structural components for multiple aircraft products to Boeing.

PECO was founded in Portland Oregon in 1938 to produce die-cast brake parts. In the 1960s the company expanded into plastic injection molded aerospace products such as passenger service units (PSUs). PECO was purchased by Astronics, Inc in 2013 and renamed Astronics PECO. In 2015, the company was relocated to Clackamas, Oregon.

Astronics PECO offers nearly 50 years of design engineering and contract manufacturing expertise to aerospace and defense companies, producing a variety of sophisticated technical products from aircraft PSUs to environmental control components to missile parts. Capabilities include multi-disciplined design engineering and qualification, as well as highly integrated manufacturing operations providing custom-injection molding, die-casting, CNC machining, NADCAP-accredited bonding/chemical/finishing processes, integrated assembly, and testing.

Under the multi-year contract extension, Astronics PECO will provide fuel access doorsenvironmental control system components  and passenger service units across a range of aircraft models including Boeing 737, 747, 767,777 and the KC-46 models.
