Pasternack has developed a line of temperature-conditioned RF cable assemblies that are suited for avionics, military electronics, IFF, ECM and other mission critical applications.

The line of cable assemblies consists of 128 basic configurations from three cable types for more than 1,100 part numbers—all available within 24 hours. These cables provide operating frequencies up to 18 GHz and VSWR as low as 1.35:1. Captivated stainless steel connectors and thermally pre-conditioned, triple-shielded coaxial cable are assembled using J-STD soldering processes and WHMA-A-620 workmanship criteria.

Renesas Electronics introduced two touch-free user interface (UI) systems to simplify the design of 2D and 3D control-based applications. Based on the company’s capacitive sensor microcontrollers (MCUs), the systems support the development of UI that allows users to operate home appliances, as well as industrial and OA equipment, without touching the devices.

The UI solutions make it possible for appliance and equipment manufacturers to quickly develop touch-free interfaces that increase the functionality of their devices in terms of both equipment convenience and design.

RS Components unveiled a range of automotive-grade, AC-line-rated ceramic disc capacitors manufactured by Vishay. The radial-mounting AY1 series is qualified to AEC-Q200, meeting the demands for use in automobiles. The series has been tested to withstand the 85/85/1000 h test (85 °C / 85 percent relative humidity for 1,000 hours), as well as passing 1,000 temperature cycles from –55 to +125 °C. In addition, the series also passes the high-voltage 10 kV pulse test (10 per polarity).
