AMETEK has released its DRX400 (24 GHz) and DRX500 (80 GHz) series of open-air radar level transmitters. Both lines feature a large, backlit LCD screen with 4-button keypad that can be assessed with a bar magnet without opening the housing cover. Each uses software that has a quick set up assistant for easy installation. The transmitters are available with aluminum or stainless-steel housings.

B&K Precision has introduced its DAS220-BAT portable data recorder. The recorder features 10 integrated universal analog channels to measure and record voltage, temperature, current, resistance, frequency and pulse. Measurement data can be saved to the 32 GB internal solid state drive or to an external device such as a USB memory stick. The unit also includes two USB Host ports and a LAN interface that allow users to remotely control and configure the recorder with the free DASLab software.

Hioki Current Sensor

Hioki has launched the CT6877, a pass-through current sensor capable of measuring large currents of up to 2000 A AC/DC with precision. The sensor has a wide frequency band and improved noise resistance, making it helpful for evaluating inverters utilized in electric vehicles. In addition, thanks to its 80 mm aperture, the CT6877 can accommodate four wires with an outer diameter of 31 mm (equivalent to a cross-sectional area of 250 mm2).

Keysight Technologies has developed a line of network analyzers which provide dynamic range, trace noise and temperature stability, as well as a range of software applications, allowing users to consistently achieve comprehensive device characterization.

The E5080B, P50xxA Series and M980xA Series combine built-in pulse generators and modulators, spectrum analysis and time domain analysis into one instrument to save time by fully characterizing modern devices without the need for additional test hardware.

R&S 5G Radio Testing

Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) and MediaTek have conducted 5G NR signaling tests using a test setup with the CMW500 wideband radio communication tester, CMX500 5G NR signaling tester and the Helio M70 5G modem for the sub 6 GHz band.

The test setup provided a 5G network simulation with a signaling connection compliant with 3GPP Release 15. 5G NR will initially operate in non-standalone (NSA) mode, largely relying on existing 4G LTE infrastructure, and then migrate to standalone (SA) mode using 5G NR network infrastructure.
