Advantest Dynamic Range Module

Advantest has launched its T2000 GPWGD module featuring an analog-performance digitizer, which supports the testing and production of high-resolution audio digital-to-analog converters (DACs) embedded in power-management ICs (PMICs), as well as stand-alone high-resolution audio devices.

The module has a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a dynamic range (DR) of 130 dB. In addition, the unit’s parallel site testing capability utilizes twice the number of sites compared to traditional systems, resulting in higher throughput and a lower cost of production.

ASM SmartStencil

ASM Assembly Systems has introduced its SmartStencil, allowing electronics manufacturers to manage the service life of their printing stencils in real time. ASM showcased the SmartStencil at the SMTconnect 2019 tradeshow, and demonstrated how the RFID-based print cycle control system works: an RFID scanner reads the electronic tag that’s attached to each stencil, recognizes used-up stencils, warns if a stencil’s service life is nearing its end and stops the printer when the maximum number of print cycles has been exceeded.

Bruker Reciprocating Rig Module

Bruker has released its High-Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR) Module for the UMT TriboLab Mechanical Tester. The HFRR Module performs a range of materials qualification tests and provides screening of lubricants and materials.

Traditionally, the production and testing of surfaces and lubricants on reciprocating systems, such as engines and linear compressors, has required the use of laboratory-scale tribometers prior to final component tests. With the HFRR Module, samples can be tested at the benchtop scale to rank the performance of lubricants and surfaces under simulated conditions while monitoring small changes in friction in simulating standard protocols, such as the ASTM D6245.

CUI Power Filters

CUI has announced the addition of AC-DC power filters, designed to accompany its existing line of embedded AC-DC power supplies. The EMC-20 and EMC-30 series offer 20 dB and 30 dB of AC-line noise filtering at 150 kHz to 1 GHz, respectively. Available in compact board mount, chassis mount and DIN rail configurations, the devices ensure surge compliance to the IEC/EN61000-4-5 standard and reduce conducted and radiated emissions to help designs comply with CISPR22/EN55022 Class B limits.

Hitachi Thermal Analyzer

Hitachi has unveiled its NEXTA STA thermal analyzer. The NEXTA STA employs the “Horizontal Digital Dual Beam System,” and also features a mechanism to keep the temperature of the balance section constant in order to eliminate small errors in weight due to changes in the heating furnace temperature.

In addition to supporting the Real View Sample Observation Thermal Analysis, the NEXTA STA can measure gas displacement performance.
