AST Spherical Plain Bearings

AST Bearings has launched a line of spherical plain bearings designed to serve in applications such as mining equipment and robotics. Standard features include fractured, sold or two-piece outer rings, two or three-piece metal-to-metal constructions, open or sealed versions and maintenance-free lining. The devices are available in sizes of 0.5-12 inches. Custom sizes are also available.

BCA Wheel Hubs

BCA Bearings has released a series of 139 wheel hubs and bearings. The wheel bearings consist of a double row bearing design that incorporate a flange for wheel and brake rotor attachment and a second flange for fixing the units to the suspension.

In addition, the rotating inner ring, with its tough flange, spigot (also referred to as a“pilot”) and threaded holes (or studs), is designed for mounting of the brake and wheel.

IKO Linear Roller Bearings

IKO has rolled out its MX series of linear roller bearings. A dust protective C-Wiper can be mounted to the outside of the end seal, ensuring operation in environments where metal chips are spattering. After 1,000 km of operation, the C-Wiper prevented foreign substances from entering the slide unit with no damage to the end seal.

Furthermore, the MX models utilize rows of cylindrical rollers to provide a greater contact area than slides that use steel balls. They also maintain high rigidity in every direction.

Interroll Tapered Rollers

Interroll has introduced its 1700 KXO and 3500 KXO (“RollerDrive”) roller series. The tapered rollers have varying diameters, which provide two effects: varying roller speeds, resulting in the conveyed material being transported through the center of the curve, and friction, which creates a static charge.

Improper transportation of component scan lead to a quick electrostatic discharge. This charge can be unpleasant for users and can also represent a risk to delicate conveyed material or the electronics inside the conveying system.

SCHNEEBERGER Miniature Guideway

SCHNEEBERGER has unveiled its MINIRAIL miniature guideways. The guideways have a possible acceleration of up to 300 m/s2 with a maximum speed of 5 m/s. Through a combination with the MINISCALE PLUS distance measuring system, the “Guide” and “Measure” functions can be linked to each other on a compact scale. As an additional option, maintenance effort can be minimized with the company’s LUBE-S long-term lubrication.
