SnapEDA, a library for electronic component models, has added RECOM Power’s entire product catalog of power electronics components. This move promises to save engineers development time by giving them access to over 20,000 symbols and footprints for RECOM’s power supplies, instead of designing them from scratch.

RECOM is doing this by simplifying the integration of power supplies, which are an essential part of most electronics products,” said Natasha Baker, CEO and founder of SnapEDA.
Some of the RECOM parts available in this release include AC/DC converters, DC/DC SMD switching regulators, DC/DC buck/boost compact switching regulators, and medical-grade DC/DC converters—all in several package types.
The symbols and footprints were designed using recommended land patterns provided by RECOM or IPC standards, depending on the design in question. The symbols are compatible with Altium, Autodesk Eagle, Cadence Allegro & OrCAD, KiCad, Mentor PADS & DxDesigner, and Proteus.
