Today Siemens Digital Industries Software launched Questa Verification IQ, a new platform for logic verification that Siemens says will help overcome the increasing complexity of next-generation integrated circuits. The cloud-based platform aims to enable engineering teams to collaborate in real-time to achieve design closure quicker and accelerate time-to-market.
Questa Verification IQ integrates with Siemens’ Polarion Requirements software for requirements management, resulting in a platform that automatically captures all data from every engine run across the life of a project, according to Siemens. The company says that the combination provides a digital thread “optimized for functional safety compliance tasks” that offers traceability from requirements to verification results and implementation.
“With the launch of Questa Verification IQ, Siemens is transforming IC verification with a state-of-the-art, data-driven verification solution that can speed and simplify the verification process using analytics, collaboration and traceability—especially when married to Siemens’ Polarion Requirements software,” said Abhi Kolpekwar, vice president and general manager of Design Verification Technology for Siemens EDA, in a company press release.
Questa Verification IQ uses machine learning to analyze data from Siemens’ portfolio of verification and simulation solutions including Questa, OneSpin, Symphony, and Veloce. Questa Verification IQ analyzes this data to predict patterns and holes, identify root causes, and find solutions for potential issues, according to Siemens, helping logic verification teams do their work more efficiently. The new software also integrates with continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins to help automate workflows.
