Better Robot Integration into Manufacturing Cells

Machine tending, especially in CNC machining operations is a common use for robots deployed in manufacturing cells. It’s a complex problem, with equipment from different manufacturers that must operate seamlessly across platforms. This has traditionally been a coding challenge for system integrators, must balance between robot performance and ease of use in often high volume, low margin part making. Kristian Hulgard, general manager, Americas at OnRobot, tells Jim Anderton about the advantages of easy to integrate robotics, at Automate 2023.
