A Little Sleuthing at SolidWorks World

We got the lowdown on the newest in 3D printing machines, materials and technologies that came out of EuroMold. Notable among these announcements was MCOR’s IRIS printer, which allows users to print 3D models in full color on standard letter-sized paper.

Among the impressive models created on the IRIS machine was a curious little print that depicted a man’s head. What was remarkable about the model was the detailed color mapping present in print and the surreal nature of seeing an accurately produced disembodied head. Needless to say, I had to find out who this person was; for what reason I have no idea… call it morbid curiosity.

Well to find out, we charged John Hayes, ENGINEERING.com's president, with some detective work while he was in Orlando, Florida, for SolidWorks World. It turns out that the person who owns the handsome head printed on MCORs machine was none other than Bryan Ferrand, MCOR’s Sales Director for EMEA and APAC.

Thanks for tracking this down for me, John.
