Renaud Marion's Flying Cars

We recently profiled Dutch company PAL-V’s new flying cars. While that concept was rooted in reality, it also inspired us to look back on some of the past’s more naïve ideas of what the cars of the future might be.

This brought us to the photos of Renaud Marion. In his new series, titled “Air Drive,” Renaud recreates his childhood visions of flying cars.

What’s most striking about the cars in these photos is… well, the fact that they’re hovering a foot off the ground. But what’s almost as striking is their beauty. Marion’s series is a great look back at the care and detail that went into designing the cars of yesterday’s tomorrow.
