HeartPrint 3D Printing Service Focuses on CardioVascular

Additive Manufacturing pioneer Materialise launched  HeartPrint, a 3D printing service for patient-specific cardiovascular models from medical image data. The service also includes a library of anatomical models for educational and communication use.

Using a variety of 3D printing technologies, the anatomical models are available in a range of rigid and flexible materials with varying transparencies.

“At Materialise, we are proud to offer these accurate anatomical models. Our proprietary multi-material processes allow us to 3D print both diseased (e.g. calcified) or healthy anatomy. I am excited about the enthusiastic response from the market and looking forward to future advancements we have in the pipeline,” said  Peter Verschueren, cardiovascular team leader for Materialise.

“For decades, Materialise has been leading the way in the segmentation of medical data and 3D printing. We believe that this service is a natural extension of our core competence at Materialise,” added Koen Engelborghs, director, biomedical engineering.
