“Every orthodontic appliance used to start with a physical impression that we used to create plaster stone models. With digital orthodontics, instead of uncomfortable impressions we take a 3D scan. At the computer we use the 3D image of the patient’s teeth to plan appliances,” says Stratasys. “When we need a model we simply click a few buttons and send the 3D CAD file off to the 3D printer. ” With the Objet30 Orthodesk dentists can create the full range of orthodontic appliances using a single 3D scan.
The Objet30 Orthodesk has an overall size of 32.28 x 24.4 x 23.22 in. Within this desktop sized container is an 11.81 x 7.87 x 3.94 in. build volume.
