Designed by Hsiang-Han Hsu, Tzu-I Wen, Jhih-Jie Wang and Yih-Wenn Luo of the Fortune Institute of Technology, the Bio Cleaner II is a robotic snake that uses bacteria to clean heavy metals from water. Taking advantage of the bacteria Shewanella oneidensis ability to disintegrate heavy metals the snake glides through polluted areas cleaning up any mess it encounters.
