botObjects Announces Full-Color 3D Printer

In an effort to put some daylight between itself and other 3D printer manufacturers, botObjects has announced that it will soon be selling the world's first full-color desktop 3D printer, the ProDesk3D.

Aside from being beautifully crafted, the ProDesk3D was also built for ease of use. Numerous automated features like an “automatic print set-up,” print bed auto-leveling and simple software make the ProDesk3D accessible to even those with no prior 3D printing experience.

While the ProDesk3D’s ease of use will likely make it attractive to consumers, what truly sets the machine apart is its ability to print high-resolution (down to 25 microns), full-color models while still being desktop sized. Key to this technology is the machines ability to mix five base colors of PLA plastic in a manner similar to a desktop ink printer.

According to botObjects’ CEO Martin Warner, “After two years of work, we are proud to be close to launching a revolutionary product, one that captures the imagination of the owner both from its exterior design and by what it can create – the ProDesk3D was designed based on our view of what this industry would look like in 5 years”.

For the time being, botObject has not announced a release date or price point for the ProDesk3D, but as soon as they do we’ll get you that info.
