3D Printing to Showcase at Leading International Art Fair

From May 10th through the 13th, COLLECT, a leading international fair for contemporary art, will be showcasing the designs of artists Daniel Widrig at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

What makes Widrig’s art interesting to those who follow 3D printing is the fact that a fair share of his work is created using 3D printing. Before becoming an art world sensation, Widrig worked at Zaha Hadid Architects. After years of experience working in one of today’s most influential architectural offices, Widrig started his own practice allowing him to explore his fascination with furniture, jewelry, fashion, sculpture, and of course, architecture.

In my opinion, Widrig’s designs are particularly interesting for their sense of movement and their apparent fragility, particularly when expressed in his fashion designs. If you’re in London this weekend make sure you stop by the Saatchi Gallery and support Widrig’s work!
