In 1986 Buick introduced the first in-dash touchscreen control panel. Named the Graphic Control Center (GCC) this 3x4" cathode ray tube allowed drivers to control the radio, trip and climate settings. The GCC could be found in Buick's Riviera model from 1986 to 1990, but was discontinued because customers found it distracting.
