Earlier this week the X-47B, a highly publicized UAV developed by Northrop Grumman, made history by completing a catapult assisted launch from the deck of the USS George H. W. Bush. In recent weeks the UAV has been simulating landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier and by summers end the Navy expects the craft to have proven it can do so in real life.
