In a recent announcement Tesla Motors shocked everyone with the news that its Model S had beaten out the Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7-series in the competition for best first quarter sales. To further entice consumers to make the switch to an all-electric vehicle Tesla has introduced plans to dramatically increase its Supercharger network covering 98% of the US by 2015.
