Have you ever wondered what bullet looks like when it’s fired underwater? Well, the folks over at RatedRR and Smarter Everyday have taken all of the danger out of firing both a pistol and AK-47 underwater and present you with the stunning results.
While it’s not too hard to image what a bullet would look like when it’s fired underwater there are few things that you can see at 60,000 frames a second that aren’t apparent to naked eye. Most spectacular though are the cascading, luminous explosions that occur as the pressure released by the bullet’s momentum collapses upon itself. Take a look:
