A Hydraulics Library for MapleSim

MapleSimTM 6.2 was released in late September.  In addition a host of new and improved features like:

  • Easier Connections and More Intuitive Line Routing.
  • Better Parameter Management
  • Improved Diagram Viewing
  • Physical Properties from CAD Geometry
  • New Electrical and Multibody Components
  • Linearizing Subsystems with a New API
  • Updated Modelica Code View

Maplesoft has included a new hydraulics library and toolchain connectivity.

Hydraulics Library

The above is a fantastic enhancement list in its own right, but in addition to core improvements to MapleSim, Maplesoft has formed a technology partnership with Modelon (a developer of Modelica libraries) and from that partnership MapleSim now includes a library of hydraulics components for system-level modeling.  As stated in the press release,

"you can seamlessly incorporate advanced hydraulics components into your MapleSim models while continuing to take full advantage of all the modeling, analysis, and simulation abilities of MapleSim."

Toolchain Connectivity

Interoperability is key, and that includes all points in the value stream from CAD, to CAE, to CAM. MapleSim improves its connectivity with this release by providing enhancements to Simulink, solvers, motors, and more.
