Tech4PD #15: PLM's Role in Service (MRO)

Watching these two guys, or should I say three if you include split personalities, argue is a never-ending addiction.

This debate is one that more and more companies are looking into because profit doesn't stop after the product leaves the dock.  Most companies, not just large aerospace or defense companies, are realizing that higher profit margins can often be captured in aftermarket service and support: maintenance, repair, and overhaul.  Therefore, there needs to be a way to track the as-maintained condition of a product.  Should this data reside in PLM or somewhere else?
