The demonstration will be performed on Bosch Rexroth’s PLC integrated IndraMotion MTX, a system with the right performance and specs to integrate real-time simulation.
Scaling ModuleWorks’s simulation software to a CNC control wasn’t easy due to the slower processing power and reduced memory. The development team at ModuleWorks believe they have addressed this challenge allowing for G-Code programs that can be verified on the fly in the control’s environment. This is key to ensure correctness and safety when modifying designs on the shop floor.
The ModuleWorks simulations will also be incorporated into the ISG-kernel software so that it can be extended to CNC controls for tools, robots, plasma/jet cutters, and textile, packing, or wood working machines. The simulation capabilities will provide technicians offline control solutions.
