Reaction design is best known for their program CHEMKIN-PRO. The software is capable of simulating model surface and gaseous chemistry. The plan is that when CHEMKIN is incorporated into ANSYS CFD simulation, the result will help customers simulate combustion processes.
Given the reduction of design time to final production, this merger should be quite interesting to the energy, transportation, and material processing industries. Though the combined software won’t eliminate experimentations completely, it may allow users to shorten their experimentation time.
