3D Systems made several announcements during the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV. Most of those announcements revolved around 3D printing. Little, if any, news was shared regarding the software side of 3D Systems, also known as the products that create the geometry used by 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Thankfully, 3D Systems partners have not forgotten that there are more options for downstream use of solid models than 3D printing.
MecSoft Corporation has announced the availability of VisualCAM 2014, and integrated CAM solution for Geomagic Design (previously known as Alibre Design). VisualCAM 2014 adds a TURN module to the existing MILL module, which has been enhanced for this release as well. MecSoft is hosting a introductory webinar to showcase the new version on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11am EST.
