Autodesk Fusion 360 Publisher has reached the beta point at the end of last month.
Like environments specifically designed for exploding and animating in desktop CAD software, Fusion 360 Publisher is a module integrated within the existing Fusion 360 dashboard that allows for exploding and animating Fusion 360 models like the example image shown above (from the Fusion 360 blog page).
In my opinion, Fusion 360 Publisher is nothing special on its own. Many CAD programs explode and animate in a similar fashion. What is special, though, is that this addition to Fusion 360 --now over one year old -- is another sign that Autodesk is taking its 360 family of products very seriously. Soon, all of the regular tools users are accustomed to in their desktop CAD software will be available in Fusion 360. Users will not have to compromise function for convenience, desktop for cloud. Users can choose whichever software platform works best for them without having to sacrifice functionality.
