Seminar to Help Engineers Move to Senior Management

Anthony Fasano PE, LEED AP, ACC. ENGINEERING.com content author and author of Engineer Your Own Success.

ENGINEERING.com’s own Anthony Fasano will be hosting the Institute for Engineering Career Development (IECD) Spring Meetup April 25th-26th in Austin, Texas.

The seminar boasts that it can help young engineers in their 20’s and 30’s become an engineering firm partner and earn a six-figure income.

From this senior management level, engineers can gain shares, be their own boss, set their own hours and receive a big payout in the event of a buyout; quite tempting options to say the least.

According to Fasano, “If you want to become a partner in an engineering firm, you MUST develop and understand these complementary non-engineering skills: leadership and management, communication, networking, project management, delegation, budgeting, time management, sales and marketing.” An assessment anyone with a Masters of Engineering Management degree will likely agree with.

Fasano has told the story of his rise to an engineering partner by age 27 to engineers all around the world, including at gatherings of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). He has even been honored with a Presidential Citation from the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) for his work with the engineering community and society.
