Arrinera Unveils Final Design for Hussarya Supercar

After working through numerous design iterations for the better part of three years, Polish supercar startup Arrinera recently unveiled the final design for its Hussarya speedster.

Crafted under the guidance of legendary British auto designer Lee Noble, the Hussarya features a General Motors built 6.2-liter V8 engine that will produce 650HP. Leveraging all of its might, the Polish-speedster will race from zero to 100km/h (0-62mph) in 3.2 seconds and will be capable of a top speed of 340km/h (211mph).

To bind the Hussarya’s screaming engine to its body, Arrinera’s engineers created a high-strength steel frame with enormous torsional resistance. Surrounding that lightweight skeleton the new racer has a flowing body that can be built from a carbon/Kevlar fiber composite or more traditional materials.

Aside from its performance specs, the Hussarya also comes equipped with multiple unique muffler housings whose diffusers resemble jet engine exhausts. While the above features make Arrinera’s first offering a tantalizing machine, its most curious and alluring feature has to be its thermal vision camera. Built into the car as a safety feature, the thermal camera can detect objects that are warmer than the car’s environs and display an image of the offending object on a screen located in the auto’s center console. Where or not it can help you steer around a deer barreling headlong into your path has yet to be seen, but the company insists the tech improves driver awareness, particularly at night.

According to Arrinera, the Hussarya will be available before the year’s end; however, no precise release date or price has been attached to the car. Regardless of those two omissions, Arrinera’s auto will likely be welcomed by car collectors looking for an auto on the far end of the exotic spectrum; and Poland’s first supercar certainly fits that bill.
