ESI Group’s Global Forum in Paris is One Month Away

The Third ESI Global Forum is weeks away and the ESI Group just announced the event programming, including some pretty big names. The event will run from May 21st to 22nd in Paris, France. The multi-industry event will assist in the learning of Virtual Product Engineering that promises to reduce costs, decrease time to market and increase the performance of the finished product.

Keynote speakers include Airbus Defense & Space’s CTO Herve Gilibert, Volkswagen AG’s Department Head Ralph Sudermeier, Nissan Motor’s general manager Toshihiro Araki and many more. The event will also include a talk from ESI Group’s CEO Alain de Rouvray, who will highlight the strategies industries should know about when it comes to virtual product engineering.

To assess the individual problems, best practices and challenges faced by each industry, sessions will be divided based on energy / power, defense / aerospace, and ground transport. These industry sessions will see over 40 speakers from various companies and organizations including the European Space Agency, Dassault Aviation, Jaguar LandRover, Magna and Audi Ag.

If you are interested in learning about vibro-acoustics, workshops will run concurrently to the industry sessions. Wind noise, low frequency noises, cabin noise and powertrain noises will all be discussed.

Finally, a seminar on hot forming will be organized prior to the ESI Global Forum in conjunction with AP&T, who specialize in the field. Production solutions, workflows, cost estimation, die design, cooling, stamping validation/feasibility, and of course virtual reality will all be discussed.

If you are in Paris next month, consider attending the ESI Global Forum. It seems to be a great opportunity to learn, network and get a glimpse of the future of Virtual Product Engineering.
